Yes Clouds are not so easy, but I found here a good tutorial some years ago, for painting clouds - its photoshop - but I think very good also for apps and with the fluid engine of verve fery fine also for verve I think

And for flat-clouds => some STRATUS Clouds, I think, that the Fractal-Brush is very very cool - was it number #9?
