Re: Intuos3

Thank you Taron! :-)

And.. I can really say hurray! :bounce: I have got a tablet. :-) I bought Intuos3 A5 in such a pretty excellent condition with pen and mouse for $97 (+ shipment $4). Everything works fine. At now I am getting used to pen and how to control Verve. So I can say almost everything in Verve is currently new to me. :-) Only I miss one thing that I cannot buy - free time for painting. ;)

I cannot compare with different models but I think Intuos3 was a really good choice.

Guys, thank you again for your help!

HOORAY! Congratulations!
That's awesome, Lemi! You'll have endless joy with this, I can promise you that! Just consider that I've been using tablets for almost 30 years now (29) and I'm still loving it and it still brings me joy. The intuos3 is really my favorite tablet. Granted, I haven't tried any after that, but didn't need to either. Thus...I cannot believe you got your tablet for "an apple and an egg" as the Germans say, hahaha... $101 is really, really nothing! The good times ahead of you will be priceless!!!
:bounce:

I'm so happy for you! :)

BTW the czech will say "for a kiss". Google translator says "for a song". Is it correct? It looks that the german expression is the most accurate simile. It depends how difficult is to get a kiss or sing a song.. :-)

Re: Intuos3

As in "who to kiss" or "which song to sing", haha, yeah...
I like that expression, too. It's much sweeter than the German version! But nothing beats the Americans, when it comes to absurd versions of expressions, unless they literally translated the German ones, which rather sound ridiculous to me...
Examples: "Never look a gift-horse in the mouth" - that's a literal translation of the German proverb.
Absurdities: German version "swatting two flies with one blow (actually with one swatter, but who cares."Zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe schlagen" - US version:"Killing two birds with one stone" (Holy hell, that's violent)

Now quit wasting your time with funny proverbs and enjoy your Wacom!!! :D

Re: Intuos3

hey my friends, I want a INTUOS3 too, but should I buy a 4:3 format or a 16:9(16:10) Wide - Format? But I think it would be better to have a wide Format, because I have a 22" - 16:9 Monitor?

I have a Graphire4, but I miss some functions like tilt and without Lazy Nezumi my strokes are not so fine. I see also on ebay a very fine & cheap INTUOS3(Wide) but in A4 format - looks like new, because he used it seldom and he used also a (protection)bag for this tablet, A4 means a large format (L). is this to big? I prefer A5/Medium, or is A4 also okay for painting?

Is this right, that Intuos3 are better like Intuos4?

Wish you a nice day :)

Re: Intuos3

On a bigger tablet you'll gain precision for the cost of more movement.
Means you'll have to move your arm much more.
Space is something to be considered carefully too.
I have a intuos 2 A4 which I almost never used due to it's size on my table.

If I am not in my office and away from my cintiq, the Intuos pro S is more than enough size wise, which is something around A5.
Check also some auctions for intuos pro S. Maybe you are lucky and get one of those, with wireless for a reasonable prize?

Good luck
