nice video I think - I will give that a try, but I wish, my both buttons on my wacom pen would be located a little bit higher.

That's kinda silly! I've been probably doing this for way too long (29 years). I hold my stylus between thumb, middle finger and ring finger and use my index finger for the rocker. Works perfectly and feels pretty much exactly like holding a pencil with the same range of motion and no extra effort or discomfort.

ok, some of matt kohrs tipps are maybe not so usefull for everyone - one of his other tips in digital painting / hardware are fine - I think he is also using a second USB-gaming-keyboard or Numpad, for better shortcut control or using of software like autohotkey, what you think about that? :) - I like using shortcuts too - also in verve :ob

Oh, I'm sure he's got some good tips. I'm pretty content with my setup and methods, you know...I just don't miss anything, really. I would be excited about the day when something like the CIntiq was finally powerful enough to feel right, but beyond that...life is good! ;)

I often touch the button by mistake but this technique would be no option for me.

Today I was looking a video from Peter Han, an concept artist - he did often use his pencil in 90°to the paper, better control for stright lines, circles and so on :ob - maybe also good by tablet-pens ... and nobody did say that thing for me before, I'm 40 and not 12

I'm way too anarchistic to take on all the clever and proven techniques from concept artists. I mean, it's part of their training, for example, to do straight lines, circles and ellipses freehand all day long (or how ever long ambition carries them) until it becomes second nature to them, you know... they will arrive at gestures and positions that suit them perfectly, but we "normal" artists won't easily understand why they prefer them, you know. It also really depends on what kind of artist you are, you know, or want to be for that matter.
(You should see me play the piano, hahaha, talking about "proper technique"... )

Hey dear taron you are right ;) but i tried that on paper its really better to hold your stylus on paper on 90°/perpendicular for stright lines .. tried that on 3-4 cheap papersheets :bounce:
