Re: White Rabbit CAD

Tsss.... sound of sweat, running down your forehead?! :hihi:
Yeah, no worries, Pilou, it's all good. We've done some important fix that had to be released, but I already made that circle to Bezier conversation (and arc to bezier), along with some great improvements to grading, so it was a good thing to release already.

What I'm doing right now, though, is on a whole other level and will be the final piece to White Rabbit CAD that was still missing. It will be awesome, but this will have to wait for the next release. Hopefully then it's a bit cooler out there, too! 8-)

Re: White Rabbit CAD

Happy New Year to you, too, Tom! And I will be looking at DXF AAMA/ASTM first, which will eventually allow exporting to marvelous designer/Clo 3d, but it will be a moment. This is tedious stuff for sure and even they have troubles importing. But, yeah.
I am really thinking about possibly hooking up some 3d at some point, because it does sound like fun, too. But don't hold your breath just yet!

Re: White Rabbit CAD

The import PDF format in White Rabbit is only for an Image ? (Pixel) or it's also for editable curves ?

Re: White Rabbit CAD

It renders images, which you can use as tracing backdrop.
Unfortunately PDF vectors are too often created badly, like frozen curves with hundreds of segments or- even more idiotic- dashed lines with every dash being a line, hahaha. :PP ...thus making it not useful to import vectors.

Re: White Rabbit CAD

Maybe not because it's the principal universal "export" (except classical) format of Moment of Inspiration! A very cool Nurbs modeler the Rolls of ergonomy! ;)
So I suppose PDF has some virtues! And of course 3D curves, surfaces etc...transformed in 2D..!
I use it every day without any problem!
it's because that i was frustrated in this cool Rabbit to not have some voluptuous curves to PDF Import Export! :)
