Re: White Rabbit CAD

Arranging the patternpieces you have to do manually right now. Also, for the placement on fabric it's a different story altogether, because of the Grainlines, remember!? While there could be an automatic arranging that may regard grainlines and potential tolerances, this would be purely of industrial interest and currently I almost can't imagine the industry picking up White Rabbit CAD already, hahaha. I mean, certainly professionals, but not for sending off patterns to a sweatshop, you know.
Anyway, I was thinking about offering a marker auto-arranger, simply to safe paper and get a tight arrangement for the print. People later will want to cut the patterns out of the paper anyway and then they place them on the fabric according to the info on the pattern (grainline, etc...).

Re: White Rabbit CAD

Well I am not sure to win one sheet of paper (even it's very ecologic) will be appetizing! ;)
It was more for the concept! :ob

From the little test i have made seems Pdf Sheets are touching themselves by the different drawings ?
No need to cut them with scissors after printing for perfect fit?
That curious because plot ink can go to the side sheet paper ?
It's not a special Pro regulate to make on the printer if you want this result ?
Is beautiful that please without concept!

Re: White Rabbit CAD

That's awesome, Pilou! Thanks for diving right into it! :ob :ob :ob
Your svg export loads fine into Inkscape. You have to make sure you set the export line width scaling properly for where you wish to import it later. Illustrator does not scale the line widths with the transform function of SVG, while Inkscape and all browsers, for example, do. So that's important to know! I have no idea why Adobe chose to ignore transform for line widths, but well...

Re: White Rabbit CAD

Why not use the vectorial functions of the PDF format ?
Because i must make White SVG-->Inskape PDF --> my prog (in vectorial) :)
If I make White PDF --> My Prog I have only "image" !
