Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

Haven't had any i7, yet. From what I've read, the specialty of Xeons is overclocking, but I haven't done, yet, either. Again, I'm really not much of a hardware guy, even though I care. I've kinda leaped from pentium to xeon.

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

I did a test with my friend Brian in the states, who has 1080Ti and we were doing fluids at 10k (at 60FPS) by the way, I'm not kidding! I don't know what resolutions you wish for, but I'd assume that would do the trick?!
Funny enough, if you'd use a brush of 2k+ size, the CPU (not the GPU) would slow down the painting to below 20FPS at times, but once you let go and the fluids take over, the CPU has nothing to do anymore and it goes back up to 60FPS, to which I have Verve locked (VB).

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

thanks Taron,
so you did 10k test with a single gtx 1080ti, that's impressive, so SLI should be even better, that's insane.
but from pudjakjuzto seems that 8k produce some artifacts, jagged lines?

PD: what does (VB) mean?
thanks again.

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

VB = Vertical Blank, which is the moment a monitor has finished displaying the screen. I should've said sync with standard display Hertz.

Anyhow, I'll be happy for you, once you have hardware that makes you really happy so you can focus entirely on the painting again! c:!

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

Very nice pudjakjuzto,
but I don't understand, how is it that the brush cursor is so big and yet the brush stroke itself looks so small on the canvas?
is this some kind of artifact, please could you tell us more about it?

thanks advanced.
