verve UI cheat sheet

Hi guys,

working on that for too long already.
Please check if it is understandable.
Me, I don't know the difference between brush 4 and 5.
It seems to be impossible to get everything smart and elegant on one pic in 1280x720 (to be loaded as one layer for exercise)
Looking forward to your feedback ;)

PS Can I take your image for translated it in French ? (Or maybe you are French speaker ? )
Is beautiful that please without concept!

Re: verve UI cheat sheet

Ohh bien sur.
Je suis absolutly not able to do that.
Unfortunatly I was very bad at French.
When it's finally done - if there are no real inputs anymore, i could send you the photoshop file with all text parts simple to edit.
What do you think?

Superverve?.....I guess that will take some time. Start, test, restart, test, overwork, test..... - until this will be true, we can use that and make it easier for people to get the complete vervexperience ;)

Re: verve UI cheat sheet

AH, how very awesome, Knacki! Thank you!
And, yes, Pilou is absolutely right, the next incarnation of Verve will be pretty different. I might have a look at a brief in betweener, which would still be the same, though... just some fixes/enhancements.

Anyhow, most excellent work, K, thanks again! :ob

Re: verve UI cheat sheet

Verve UI cheat sheet is definitely a great idea! :ob

I am just wondering if you could replace STRG by CTRL or CTRL by STRG? ;)
My brain is confused when I see both of them on the same picture :?

Re: verve UI cheat sheet

LOL  ...I haven't seen that either, hahah, tisk... although this probably would have never happened to me, I still wasn't thrown by it, being a German and all... :P
By the way, I like a bunch of those icons, while they all together illustrate quite well again how that can clutter an interface. I think, I'd use icons only for the major sections and keep them all black and white, visually at about the same size or proportion and with as few lines as possible.
It's really, really hard to design good icons, I know that for sure! :PP

However, I already have a set of icons for the paint modes...(they were a brief collaboration with r0mer0, one of my longest time friends, who keeps vanishing nowadays as quickly as he shows up?!)
(Consider the attached image a "sneak preview") ;)

Re: verve UI cheat sheet

Hahaha- well STRG blindness. Forgive. I am used that others are namening he keys I have on my keyboard different, that I completly lost the feeling.
Anything more? Is it understandable?
As I just wanted to stick on the UI background, it was impossible to get everything in. It turned out to be much more than intended, already. Maybe something less, or something to be exchanged?
A brighter Background?

Taron, please do not take this cheat sheet as an argument to do something different as planned ;)
Go for what you want.
Icons are incredible difficult to get right. Mine were just taken from whatever was available. Otherwise this alone would have filled a several days. But for a quick oberview they came in handy.

I like the most simple once the best. Even though you loose a bit of shiny glitter on your UI I guess its best for the sake of space and recognition. Second it have to be very clear metasigns. Liquid i.e. Is not easy as the waterdrop is occupied with blur thanks photoshop.

Said this, your icon preview looks very nice taron, but also pretty complex. On the other hand, how to explain more complex, not established tools in one glimpse? Tough!
