Feedback v0.99v.30

Just for understanding:

Desaturate, perception and color drp gamma is completely gone?
Hue dancer swapped it's place with deleted color drp gamma.

If brush images are under right side of UI, the selection of UI tools has priority now?

A nice update! Did I miss something?

Cheers,

Knacki

Uh, oh, dang, forgot about the priority thing! But I was just thinking about making a better brush images GUI. First, though, I was going to add scaling the image capture frame, too, because that's sometimes really annoying, having to move each side and so on.
But, yes, Desaturate and Gamma is going to go into LayerFX, where it kinda should be, too, I think.
Hue Dancer feels far more at home right there, doesn't it? :)

So, uhm, well, you didn't "miss" anything, but rather added something, hehehe! :ob (Will take care of it!)

...some short while later...
Yeah, one might think this should be "easy", right?! Pffff...
Here's another fantastic reminder for why "temporary test setups" should always be considered as such and discarded in favor of the real implementation ASAP! :tantrum:
The whole entire brush image thing is nothing but a brief prototype zone, which was waiting for me to make a proper GUI class for it and things of its kind (color swatches, procedural textures, anything that would want a proper scroll area for abstract containers).
AND, to make it that much more inexcusable, I was really freezing that in favor of switching all and everything to C++. The same freaking story as with so many things. So now I'm thinking, it being Christmas soon enough, I should really consider making a big present for all of you and just say "screw it, amma gonna do this right for this version". :borg: ...but then I'm thinking:"#$^@$#%|?%!... :tantrum: :PP :uhuhuh:  " ...something like that. :ud:
Danged...we shall see! :ugeek:

Hi, works great - but yes .. I miss desaturate too :) -CTRL+L was LayerFX - but just only without function. So I keep version 99 v29 too in my folders.

Oh, you were actually using desaturate? Well, anyway, it's all coming back in the right context, so don't be too worried! ;)

I check sometimes my values in Verve  - and some artists are also painting with values only (black/white) and the beginning. Oh, hope that we will have in Verve one a day a nice inking mode too with keeping the luminance - like color mode in Photoshop. This would be awsome :)

Ah, "perception" does that! It keeps the luminance. If that is what you mean?

What is at 2:20? Are you talking about Layer Blend Modes?
What does that have to do with.... ah, never mind, Zero! Nope, this stuff will still have to wait, but is certainly also part of the plan.
LAYER FX will be modify features such as Levels, Hue&Saturation, Curves, you know this sort of stuff you know from Photoshop. It has nothing to do with blend modes.

I put a better video dear - sorry. This guy uses first MULTIPLY - we have a kind MULTIPLY, in the middle with NORMAL LAYER MODE but with some opacity and the last one with Color Layer Mode. Fine too :)

Btw. I like also using our glow mode for glowing and highliting - fire, translucency. But Miss Color Mode like in 11:32 :) -But nice if we wil have that one a day.
