770m I would prefer! What good would be a massive canvas without performance. I'd rather sacrifice a layer than the pleasure to work on one!

Dear Stavros, I can't tell you how much I never expected Verve to run at fullscreen on 1920x1080, let alone 2650x1680, because it's flipping real-time fluids. It was intended to satisfy artistic exploration ON the computer, not on print. You know that, and you know that I know you know that, haha, so... hehe... I'm glad you love that I think that. I love that you take Verve to "higher dimensions", hahaha!

Is windows 10 a problem?

No worries Taron
I've resigned myself to accepting what it is ....and it is a beautiful thing.
So I just tested verve on a nvidia 750m with 4gb VRAM and it would barley run at base res. choking and irrational. Windows 10....does it work on windows 10 ? It should have been smoking smooth because I have an inferior card on my Mac and its great on windows 7 in bootcamp. I so wanted to buy this laptop but verve wouldn't work normally

Make sure it has the Nvidia card active, too! Some of those laptops have a switch between some crappy internal Intel card and the Nvidia! I don't know which one you're looking at, but watch out for that!
Windows10 shouldn't make a difference as far as I can tell, but I haven't tried it, yet...nor do I really intent to, hahaha, unless I absolutely have to at some point.

Damn I wish I knew that!
It was an Asus aspire v7 with a dual core i5 and 8 gig of ram. Very pretty. Low res scree 768x1300 something. But touch screen! Verve with touch is awesome!!!!!!!
Just to be clear...the CPU is mostly irrelevant to verve is it not? Would an i7 quad be better?

Yep, the CPU isn't all that important, though it gains in importance with the latest brush stuff, but not nearly as much as the GPU.
Uh, haha, one day I should hook up my ten finger mode again. It's really some wacky fun to do that with Verve. Worked pretty good on the Cintiq! But it also feels very, very childish, too, hehe! Fun, though.

Your a kid taron!
Thanks for these quick replies...much appreciated. I see on their site an i7 quad version with full HDTV touch screen and 750m 4gb for $999
Not bad. Will check it out. Maybe worth the extra money.
I think you were right about the switch. Guy just texted me to say he found a way to turn it on.
Lol

Hey Taron
Have you looked at these new Nvidia cards 1070/1080 with 8 gb of ram?
New platform...generational jump in performance
low end 1070 comparable to old Titan X...yowsah!
They look smoking hot....heres some comparisons to current line up.

Do you have any idea if these would bring Verve to a new level?
Very exciting times ahead!
Wohooooo
