I have AMD Radeon HD 8200. It's a good thing brush #9 was loaded by default, I might've given up in frustration before I got to it. Brush #9 works okay though, especially on smaller resolutions (below 1000px). When I say okay I mean performance, the brush itself is all kinds of amazing.

Uh, the great pains it was for me to make everything compatible with AMD and Intel.... :PP ...but at least I did get it to work and learned a great deal along the way. Still, I don't 100% trust them, haha. One day, should I find myself in a position to do so, I will get a variety of hardware setups to test it all directly.

For now I don't have any problem even on very high reslutions but when I activate "high speed" thing my cooling fan starts... sometimes it goes quite intense lol What is the "high speed" tool?
And is Vram important? I think that helps for high reoslutions no? I think I have 8gb and 8gb ram.

Yes, VRam determines your max resolution.
High Speed takes off the brakes, so to say. I normally lock the refresh to 60 frames per second for a consistent, fluent performance. High Speed allows your card to go for its maximum computational powers. This will naturally make it hot at times, depending on what you do. I yet haven't managed to make the fans go as nuts as they always do, when I play a hardware accelerated game such as "Warframe". :hihi: ...that game actually killed my old card, when dust stuffed up its tiny fan. (me=stupid) :PP
So, yeah, nothing to worry about, regarding your fan, but be sure nothing blocks the air flow, like dust or so, that's all!
COOL, I'm glad it runs well for you! :ob

I've been willing to buy a new GPU in order to verve on a higher resolution.
does anybody have tested any of these?
AMD RX Vega (8GB) [500$]
or the NVIDIA gtx 1080 ti (11GB) [$750]
or the AMD radeon wx 9100 (16GB) [1600$]
could you please post the max canvas resolution in which verve can run without lagging? any recommendation?

thx advanced. :ob

Hey Ed,
I am running 2 1080s on my graphics/gaming computer in SLI. I rarely run it above 4 thousand but that's because 4 thousand is what I shoot for in any graphics project. I will say this. I was running 2 960s until one burned out. Before I went to the 1080 the single 960 was more than enough to satisfy my 4k preference.

AMD has really been getting better. Are you still on a laptop or are you building a desktop? If you are building a desktop then I would choose 2 1080s over the Radeon and go SLI. The reasons are simple. 22 gb vs the 16 gb of the radeon. Both 1080s combined are not as expensive (1500 vs 1600) If you experience problems with one of 1080s you can still keep running while you replace, repair the other one and consider your options.

750 for the 1080s is still expensive to my mind. At the end of the summer Graphics cards were going up drastically and still are it seems. I got mine for 650 each (EVGA). It's all the damn Crypto miners lol

Anyway. Good luck with your build. You are already going in a good direction. :ob

When in doubt, always NVidia! :ob
...if there was a budget issue, my GTX 970 makes me very happy and should be pretty cheap by now!
