Re: Taron's little gallery

Hmmm, in this method I don't even touch the value layer anymore! I add a layer under the value layer, making it two layers, one value and one color. The color than just changes the colors behind the value layer. But this only works with this specific technique I'm using here, which is to ....ah man...I should probably just make a little video. BUT I really want to add more blend modes to layers, too, including color only, like Zero always asks for.
Here to help! :D

Re: Taron's little gallery

Damn that is good Taron! Thank you for the glimpse as to your process behind it :bounce:

When my Mom passed she left me her clown collection and I put them into a case in my den. I am afraid it needs dusting cough cough  Your take on clowns seem to lean more towards Stephen King's Pennywise the Dancing Clown and the cult film classic "Killer Klowns From Outer space  I have a much more positive view of them I think hehe..

Re: Taron's little gallery

Ahaha, thanks for the email, too, by the way, Tartan, and being thoughtful about the gallery thread! ;) :ob
You know, somehow sometimes a clown wants to come out of my doodles, haha...it's a weird, but recurring theme?! :P
I did absolutely dig the beginning of "It"(?). Stephen King somehow has the ability to lose me consistently when ever he goes alien, haha...ah well. I guess, I prefer the supernatural when it's supernatural or the aliens when it's alien, although I wouldn't mind a supernatural scifi... so... eh... I'm confused! :?

Thanks, Lemi, I really can't wait to one day truly show what I can do, because pretty much everything here is really just some light-hearted doodling to test things or simply enjoy Verve for a moment...

Re: Taron's little gallery

super super cool taron, so we can made artworks with the recomended - GRAYSCALE/VALUES first - technique too .... this is great     ... and this will made the grayscale => indirect painting technique => much more easier in VERVE c:! - because I never did made INDIRECT PAINTINGS    ... but I will change and think its a great better way like direct painting ...

I have a next suggestion too, what about this in VERVE? c:! c:! c:!

about a gradient map / gradient filling tool, like in the link below? so you could coloring a greyscale image very fast too, as a base color - fine tuning / fine painting after that ;) ...

http://www.ctrlpaint.com/videos/gradient-map :ob in germany this kind of tool is calling "Verlauf füllen" ... I think :)

And the clown, that blows me away too :ob :ob :ob :ob great artwork

Re: Taron's little gallery

Yeah...gradient fill is part of the plan, too, but for now, just use brush #1 or #6, make it as big as you like (3000 pixels, 30000 pixels, 999999pixels  ) and click. Hahaha  !
There are various way in which to achieve great gradients already, but I hear you, trust me. I'm just worried that people forget what Verve really is cool for, you know. The new addition of images and image sequences for brushes will open up a whole new world already, but it still is very fundamental to the Verve spirit. Gradient fills...hmmm...not so much. I've had some other ideas that would be even crazier, but...nah... later.
For now I still battle with the GUI, trying to make up my mind on stuff.
