DANGED! Now I totally forgot to congratulate you on your Birthday....
Please, accept my belated congratulations and Best Wished for you! I know, I know...a new version of Verve would've been nicer, but there's still Christmas! :? :D

Anyway, i apologize for having zoned out on the 7th...

Re: Stavros Gallery

LOL!
finally….
I can breathe
I've been waiting with bated breathe
hoping, wondering if just maybe…..
I knew you would come through
well at least you remembered
thank you for the well wishes !
:)
Now don't start with the Christmas stuff
unless your ready to deliver
we are very sensitive about this
I don't want to wake up depressed on Christmnas day
So Im shooting for Oct 7 2016!
anything earlier will seem like a pleasant surprise
:)
so in lieu of a "proper" birthday gift..ahem
I went to a local Pagan Harvest Festival
and drummed feverishly while
beautiful maidens danced hypnotically around a raging bonfire
and a massive effigy of the Corn King burned
A beautiful ritual about death and rebirth
it was glorious…a Verve of a different kind!
:)
So…..I was chatting with my hi tech nephew whiz kid
who's working on a video game in C++ whatever
and he told me that he would be able to port easily to various platforms
Soooooooo…Im thinking if and when you ever squeeze this baby out?
I will never have to look at windows again…and that would be a good thing :)
in fact…Im guessing your thinking big picture iOS,OSX, Android etc
how wonderful that would be!

Re: Stavros Gallery

That harvest festival sounds fun!!! :bounce:

Ah, yes, that remains part of my goal, supporting all platforms in one form or another. There are certain limitations with all mobile platforms, though, since it's openGL ES, but it I'm having high hopes. The biggest worry I have there is the lack of workable 32bit buffers, which will make the material layers a little choppy, but we shall see...

NEw Christmas VErsion

Well well well……now this new version is very interesting indeed
I haven't even got past the new CURL dial.
Set it to 0 and some REALLY weird and wonderful things start to happen.
All of a sudden things get very….watercoloury
Heres some first adventures
Basically the default settings except for CURL is set to 0
Viola!

Re: Stavros Gallery

Whoops
I forgot to mention the canvas is set to paper…gives it some nice grain
I suspect its actually an anomaly……but boy the potential for watercolour using this CURL setting at 0 is stunning!

Heres some details from the previous posts…
some cracking ice, snow drifts and the cresting wave in particular just blows my mind!
I don't even know how it happened…but there it is!…a perfectly formed cresting wave :)

Re: Stavros Gallery

You and your Ambiguous Landscapes, Stavros, it's pretty amazing! While clouds and marble make you guess what item or creature is hidden in their form, you create the landscape riddle, making one sense ice, sand dunes, oceans, except that very last one, which is clearly a breathtaking wave, crashing on an ice cold beach...
Crazy stuff! I love most of them except "VerveNewVEr_1_2detail.jpg", that's only interesting. 8-)
The rest is spectacular and would make an excellent gallery showing for sure!
