Re: EB Verve Painter

ehh, Lemi you made me think about a very old concept, the difference between 'art of space' and 'art of time'
theatre, dance, music are art of time, they only happen in certain time.
painting, sculpture, architecture are art of space.
u know, I'm not too dexterous using my legs :ugeek:
but I do have my way with tools c:!
of course nowdays this separation has kindof fade out since the arrival of digital media.

Yes, Eduardo, you are right! And the second question can be: "Can we consider art only as a result of some work or all creative process on it?" :)

Re: EB Verve Painter

mmm, well in painting, there are parts of the process that are so joyfull (thx Taron for that in the case of Verve) but sometimes I arrive to parts that are somehow stressfull, and they can turn even into a pain, but then I know I have to switch the subject matter cuz that pain will be noticed in the final art, as well as when your strokes are fast and free the final painting denotes freshness. I'm sure of that. So the process is very important, it imprints the result. Now if it's showable it can be a speed painting, or a tutorial, can have different purposes, sometimes a product of art can make another product of art (the disney cel acetates), perhaps considered a subproduct and trashed. There are lots of different cases, and I guess it varies a lot.

Re: EB Verve Painter

Photoshop Verve Transition
all from mind, a pure concept, it's still in progress
I used PS for the doodling due to multiple undos n transform tools
basic painting sketch in PS too, then moved to Verve
at 4k x 2k Verve lags a lot, brush 9 starts to look very grainy, kinda sandy, so I switched to brush 2
I had to make the canvas as small as possible so I started to shrink the bg boundaries trying not to change the compo too much
I'm starting to compare PS brushes with VP brushes and AR brushes as well, it kinda makes the habit to paint from a distant point of view.

Hey Ed,
I think this is a promising start also. I really like the way you have achieved depth so easily with him! Great color scheme and attention also. Can't wait to see the final but I like as is c:! :D

Re: EB Verve Painter

thx men
yes Zero is a mingle of very extrange creatures, some marine, some terrestrial, I tried to place some sortof octopus limbs (with suckers and fangs) instead of jaws, but I didn't know exactly how it should work, so I just insinuate it  (kinda left it half way throught)
