Hey Frenchy, do you remember this thread?
http://www.taron.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2517&p=18817&hilit=chromaluxe#p18817
Stavros told & taught us about the Chromaluxe technique.
Just search for Chromaluxe to find a printing shop offering this technique close by. The result is really beautiful - made it once. 30x30 was only around 30€. But let us discuss this in above thread ;)

It sounds like the link you posted gives a good discription of the Dye Sublimation process on ChromaLuxe aluminum. The work is made using Archival quality inks. It is then heat infused onto a special type of aluminum ground. The result is a work that should last 150 years. It is also moisture and scratch resistant and therefore very durable.

By the way thanks for the link to your cheat sheet I will have to study it. I was a bit mixed up regarding layers supporting transparency. I was actually thinking about if you reduce the transparency of the whole image on a layer, then make a custom brush to take advantage of the transparency effect of the layer itself Verve ignores it and the brush is at full opacity. I doubt many people would use it if it were possible. I know I would find that very useful.

@Knacki
Sorry I had missed this one! :(
So
I printed one of my "real" works done on ipad in 30cmx30cm.

What is the resolution or the Verve image for this 30*30 cm?

Re: Abstract paintings

It was 3500x3500 I guess - overdone a bit. But let us please go over to http://www.taron.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2517
Information stays findable there and picture galery clean ;)

Knacki
Thanks for your kind poetic words :ob and thanks for the control S to save to a alpha channel tip. I have been fooling around with exporting images with a alpha channel and reopening them in Verve to make custom brushes from the images. I have attached a recent example of this technique.

Nice, yeah, that increases complexity, too. I should resume writing a proper import GUI so you can dial up what channels you want to become material amount.
Very psychedelic, by the way! 8-)

Taron channel control in Verve would be to cool for school :bounce: To be able to adjust the channels in Verve WOW. Yes it is a bit psychedelic I guess it's the old hippie inside me

Re: Abstract paintings

Here is another one with Alpha brushes. I like the colors in this one. I have always been a big fan of Islamic Art. I like how they repeat patterns it is kind of like music it created a visual Rhythm. That's why I often repeat the same shape in a picture. This one has a Persian feel to me.
