I like the mass n lighting of the pine trees in the hd version, it has a feeling of space, though i think the people lighting need more work.
congrats zero.

Re: Zeropainter - GFX

Hi, yes - people are not so fine - but I did have ther two problems

1st - I wasn't saving my reference Image from the "People-Crowd" :( for finetuning I wasn't able to find my image again :PP in the great google-image-link-database
2st - hmmm ... I like to draw/paint with great space - not so good draw with small pixel resolutions

Next Time it will be better. Maybe I will use Mischief/Photoshop for drawing in greater resolution. Verve is damn cooler - but cant made great resolutions like in Mischief/Photoshop.

Re: Zeropainter - GFX

Yeah, lighting, colors and forms, those things can get difficult. It takes a lot of studying to really develop a feeling for ambient strength and color (references help a great deal) and then form and lighting. The classic breakdown into simple shapes, when you imagine the lighting, really helps a great deal. The extra kicker, then, are the drop shadows! Imagining them is a beautiful game, though. You really get to school your imagination and spacial visualization.

So, in your mind, breakdown complex shapes, like people, faces and all of that, into simple geometries, so to say: cylinders, spheres, boxes, cones. When you do the lighting that way, you then can "carve in" the details. :ugeek:

Re: Zeropainter - GFX

Yes, you are right @Taron - simple shapes - better forms (not shape) are important.
By the way .. I miss in Verve a scaling tool :D

Better also to paint small details in a bigger resolution. Becaus I dislike to paint with seeing 'pixels'. Thats also a plus in Photoshop - SMART OBJECTS, you can paint in your document a new paint .. e.g. take my lady in the forground - and made from the lady a smart object - you can resize her e.g. and paint better details - in your smart object. Ok, maybe to complex :D - but a scaling tool would be nice :D

Btw. I have to finish es study from some weeks ago :D .. hope you will like that too ...
