thx Taron, yes if we divide the canvas in 2 slices the fluid restriction to slices may be a problem
but it may be fixed if we then select a slice in the middle of the 2 previous slices n paint a sort of merge(seam slice) btw both,
so following that process we could paint a full character in 5 slices distributed vertically one above the other, n then just select the four seam slices n correct them. Just saying

Ahahaha, 3 Nüsse für Aschenbrödel, ja, der absolute Lieblingsfilm meiner Frau zu Weihnachten! Sie muss den sich anschauen.
It's a super cute movie with tons of heart, really. The music alone is a treasure. :)
Good one, Zero! Proportions are quite a bit off, but she's a special beauty, tall order to capture properly. Still a very nice, almost medieval feeling painting. c:!

I really like this a lot Zero. It\s not crowded. It has a charm all it's own. Proportion may be off a bit but that actually doesnt take away from the end result. Beautifully done  c:!

Hi Zero
the light condition in the ref is kinda strange, a bit too cold for a painting portrait in my opinion, too much contrasted, and telling from her too harsh cast shadow of her nose, it seems that the main light source was too close.
I would suggest you to copy a master painting, where the model is lit only by a northen window. a single natural very distant light source. It would help a lot to test your art skills.
Keep it up Zero.

Hi, ok .. so I did made a Masterstudy last days ;)

hope you like it too - its BERNHARD FROM REESEN, painted by Albrecht Dürer in 1521. And I made a Study in Verve and a bit in Photoshop (Colorcorrection and little bit Masking).

And here the Original from Albrecht Dürer:

Uh, a VERY nice study, Zero! Great job! :ob
Have you tried Verve's color correction? It's pretty unique, I know, but it has tremendous powers, especially now with the addition of saturation +/-.

Hi, dear Taron, thnx that you like it
yes - I like it - CTRL+L, but I like in Photoshop the COLOR Mode Layer, just missing this kind of Layermode here in Verve, and also to Saturation-Layermode some Areas with Brush also nice.

WOW Zero, the latest study is GREAT and very elaborated!

"Tři oříšky pro popelku" - the movie of my childhood :-). The last song is one of my favorites.

BTW Do you know this czech movie? https://www.csfd.cz/film/9425-princ-a-v ... e/prehled/
There is Libuše Šafránková too! :-) I think you can watch and understand this movie without any czech knowledge..
