Thanks, Gbo! I do really enjoy this process of drawing, rather than painting. This one has 4 layers, actually. I've done it like this many times already.
- first drawing, smudging and averaging with the default color, but brush #6 mostly
- add layer above for highlights in white only
- add layer below (bottom) to put color behind the drawing (a lot of brush #9)
- add another layer below to make a quick background

It's a pleasant method.

heh He does look as if he is in an introspective moment and we are on the other side of a see through mirror. Its fun to see your doodles

Master of light and volume.
Just a doodle shows if someone really adopted all the rules with ease.

Thanks, Knacki! I'll make more, once I'll have figured out another issue with brush #6 and opacity. I really battle my own fundamentals in Verve, it's so tricky. Anyway...it's still glorious fun!

and about layers, will we have one a day also a color-layer? A layer-mode that changes only the color but not the value, its an important layer mode, but miss it in verve - especially good, if you start paint only in values black/white and if you like change only the color.

Yeah, still thinking about that one, too. It's a little more complicated with GL in my case. A bunch of tricky things to conquer.
