Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.
These are just tiny little experiments - as I do a lot of since new verve brushes ;)

Re: With verve into the light

Oh - that was fast response!
Thank you very much.

During the process of creating brushes I made plenty of abstracts too.

Re: With verve into the light

Yeah, that goes quick...I mean, filling up the drive with really pretty abstracts! :D
I haven't been saving much for a while, but here and there I know some pearls went down the drain.
Great stuff, though! I like the ominous volcano like smoke, too!

Hey that's some great use of colors with your tests and of course a lovely gecko!
It could be even a Verve's mascot

sheesh Knacki, I think you can pair the emperor with Eschefeur. Very oriental and competent. I love the blue flame down it's back :D The Fox is just great.. Is that Reynard by chance? :) All very inspiring. Also the abstracts. Its not often I see you cut loose on them but there are a lot of gems in this set c:!

Re: With verve into the light

Thanks Tartan for stopping by.
Your comments are always are warm shower for my soul.
About fire my feelings are split.
Even though it's most powerful having the brush engine, stamping pics into a painting is not painting. I really would love to be able painting fire like that without help. But for this guy who was not planned to end into something serious it is cool. And time is a bit short those days.
I wanted to reply to your lovely fire bird, but somehow your thread has dissapeared. Or is it just me getting blind?

Zen thanks for your nice comment.
Nice to have a new ververist in here ;)

Taron, I can't thank you enough. Verve and mainly you made me a better artist. Responding to almost every painting you are sending energy around the world. Starting with sculptris up to now your very positive way in Interacting with people has given me a lot!

Re: With verve into the light

I had similar feelings in the late 90's about stamped images especially using someone else's image hose in a program like Painter. That's when I decided that if i made the image hose myself from personally created elements that I could justify it by using it as a base to come back and alter. It looks to me like you created the pattern and then tweaked it along the spine and it came out beautifully! So, no need to doubt yourself on it's outcome. It's a great tool in the digital tool box that is a descendant of some of the great pieces I have seen created through stencil on real walls.

As to my goofy looking firebird I was looking at it and had the inspiration to use it in a Verve collage surrounded by non mirrored bird and insect shapes which was when I deleted it from the forum. When I post I will post it again and in the same post show where it leads. It's a lot less goofy now but the original will probably turn out to have been the most fun stage :)
