Sketch #000004 - "The Tree of Life"

TOPIC of TODAY: "The Tree of Life"

FORMAT: any
TIME LIMIT: none
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES PER ARTIST: 3
OTHER THAN THAT: Do what ever you feel is right and fits the topic perfectly, but do it with Verve!

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS:
Yep, the first of the tree-top-ics (eh...not funny?) has come already. Trees are loads of fun with Verve, I believe. You can use the "official release" or the experimental version, if you wish! 8-)
Here to help! :D

I can't believe you've done those with Verve, man... borhani, you're outstanding! :o :D

I should add one, too... got so overwhelmed with experiments today, didn't even paint anything!
Ok, here's just a generic tree...warming up, so to say! 8-)

Re: Sketch #000004 - "The Tree of Life"

How beautiful, you guys! :D

Taron's is very epic! The bark appears so plastic and vivid ... i even enjoy the signature this time ... looks like a dragonfly, having fun in the rope grass :P
Borhani's really do look insanely realistic  i love how you, yet again, found great use for the black bug ... You really know how to make lemonade
i sure hope to get a watercolor one into the race as well, before the bell 8-)

For now, i thought id combine some of the themes we had thus far :D
my poor hair effort destroys it a bit, though   ... MUCH FUN, in any event ... i wouldn't mind more tree topics, at all :P

Re: Sketch #000004 - "The Tree of Life"

This tree needs no water to grow. It needs dust, rocky terrain, weak gravity and cosmic rays,

(I was in a hurry with this image. Drew at work. Couldn't resist. Image is slightly post-edited in Gimp)

Re: Sketch #000004 - "The Tree of Life"

Ah, guys, I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying your stuff! Jim, that's totally sweet and I don't think you've ruined anything with your "fur" grass, hehehe... loads of character!
And those new ones from you....dayummmm (to quote you!)... love the authentic feel of them, too! You got it, jim! :D

Intars, nice concept for sure! I keep feeling I should look at that with my 3d glasses! 8-)
VirtueOne, so subtle... lovely! :)
Pilou, plush! :D

Here's another one from me. This time I thought about the kaballistic concept of the tree of life with the various stages (Zephirot) from top to bottom. But it's just a fairly quick idea. However, I totally, totally dig the canvas texture and working with it. The clouds practically happened by themselves, for example.
Oh, and I should add: Rotating the canvas ROCKS! Those leaves were a breeze to make... so pleasant! :D
