Hey Pilou, Taron, Lemi, Ed, Zero
It’s been awhile but I have accomplished a lot this past year regarding house projects and creative projects. I was tempted to post these in my Verve thread because their base came directly from the Devil is in the Details but since Pilou’s thread is already discussing Pros and Cons of A.I. art this seems perfect.
My own views on the subject boil down to one thing. A.I. art is fun but no substitute for a proper art education whether self-taught or schooled or in a lot of our cases here, Both. The Cons go deep into what Taron said at the beginning and I agree with a lot but I also see Knacki and Pilous Pro sides. From observation and my experiences at Artbreeder here is what I see happening. Thousands of people with no art experience learning about art by actively going online and looking up different artists and in some cases reading about their lives. I see people taking their AI creations to Deviant Art and Art Station after they have post worked mangled fingers and ears and various other parts of the human body that the AI has produced lol. All the while learning exactly how to do it and maybe feeling inspired enough to pick up a pen and continue. Learning being the key word. I have picked up new artists to admire and even introduced a couple that people started using in response to my own posts. I see Education and Desire. But I am not blind. I see the Cons also.
Pilou you have generated some nice stuff here. There are a few that would have gone to the top of trending at Artbreeder. Well done and a Lot of fun Taron is right. You Are an Artist… (having fun as a Hobbyist)
Taron that was a wonderful piece you did earlier in the thread. It is my wallpaper right no
Man its good seeing you Knacki. I see your points regarding A.I… if only we could AI that to work.
I am not going to forget Lemi and Zero either.
If you want to see my page at artbreeder it is

Artbreeder added a new function called Collage. What Collage does is let you put together simple collages to use as a base image. From there you feed the A.I. a description of roughly what you want, and it takes the image and uses a vast database of images and words to piece things together. It also lets you upload images to use.
The description I gave to the A.I. includes Pumpkin-person. I was just curious to see if it would give me both female and males. I also used “It’s a Mad, Mad Mad World”, from an old 60’s movie that Frank Frazetta did the Movie poster for. I was hoping it would pick up on Frazetta’s wonderful cartoon style.
“Realistic Pumpkin-person, Barn, people, It's a Mad, Mad World, Gothic, Manga, highly detailed, vivid color tones, digital painting, concept art, smooth, pencil lines, expert shading, by Jeff Jones and Frank Frazetta.”
Happy Halloween!
