Re: Question about drawing tablet

ok :) I know that, it's cool ... but I'm sorry, I was thinking about a rotation-control by just in time / simultan (by painting)

Re: Question about drawing tablet

What and the what-what? :? ....ah...not entirely sure what you mean. I do have the stroke-direction based rotation, but you might mean some kind of "real time" rotation using keys maybe?
I will very much try to make the new system open enough so that you can assign keys to all sorts of events. Theoretically it should then be possible that you could assign any set of keys to control rotation, why not!? :) :geek: ...something like cursor keys for rotating or the likes. Maybe even mousewheel. Some tablets, like the intuos3, have ribbon controllers, which default as mousewheel. It would totally be no problem to re-assign those as rotation controllers. :ugeek:

Re: Question about drawing tablet

ok, did you know paintstorm studio? knacki was testing this painting app, there is an option for PEN-ROTATION too, but for my graphire4 tablet it's useless, also tilt-angle I can't use, but for PAINT-ROTATION I can get similar effect by STROKE-DIRECTION - in paintstorm :)

ok, maybe I need a better tablet too? c:! - I don't really know - but mostly I'm happy with the graphire4 :) it's the same like the bamboo I think?

Re: Question about drawing tablet

Turn off PRESSURE. It's the Green glowing toggle next to individual pressures on the brush gui, the last little toggle before the border of the window. If you have that turned off, your rotation will follow your brush direction! :!: (But then size and opacity dynamics will respond to movement speed. Turn those off, too! )

I should add, though, that this is not as cool in this version than what I've already got for the new one. In the new one this stuff is all a bit different and MUCH nicer, including the routine to determine the direction for the brush. SO...it's a poor patch right now, but- just so you know- I've had that all along for a long time, just as long as I've had size or opacity controlled by movement speed! ;)
