Re: Bug Reports

Hey Taron just wanted you tell you the sliding paint/resolution problem is gone (on my side) with the latest update!
Sometimes when I switch the presets a black horizontal border might still appear --in native-- BUT that's easy to fix with redoing a background color... or even just paint on top of it... or loading a file.

Also a friend mentioned how there appears to be no 1920x1080 preset. I have no idea about standard resolutions but seems that is also one then?

Anyway, thanks and YAY! :D

Re: Bug Reports

LOL, there is now!
Just download the version I just uploaded and 1920x1080 is part of the mix, BUT I still have it prevented, if your desktop resolution is smaller. I will change this...uhmm...maybe tonight already?! Gotta check, but yeah...

OH, I'm also glad you checked, because I totally forgot to tell you that I found the problem. I had to set glOrtho again after loading or restart. It's a weird one somehow, because the window should've given feedback already by the time I set glOrtho, but- hey- live and learn.

Cool, yay, I'm so happy, too! One down, 999,999 to go...

I also tried the gravity thing, but as cool as it sounds, without the paint having more exciting properties it is not very useful right now; It would only be a gimmick. But as soon as I have more complex stuff in order, then it gets exciting. I hope all those, who want it so much can hang in there. :| ...it'll be quite cool, though! ;)

Oh, Ah, and THANKS! You know...this is awesome! My goodness, it feels so good not to be alone with this stuff anymore. Really wonderful! :D

Re: Bug Reports

Just did a minor change to the window setup. Can you see, if it works better now?

Re: Bug Reports

Undoing with DRYING OFF will not reset the fluid motion vectors of the layer to 0.

In fact, the fluid motion vectors will continue to run in the background until you make your next brush stroke in which case it will begin to influence the paint on the layer. (It's actually kind of neat)

PS It would be cool if we could see 2D fluid motion vector visualization as lots of little pointy lines. (toggle option)

Shift+Space (brush min size adjust) allows you to set brush size outside of 0-100% range.

Re: Bug Reports

brush min size over 100% is intended, actually. It just doesn't look pretty on the screen...should probably fix that. :|
Yeah, I...eh...it's weird with the undo and the fluids, because I actually had fun with that exact effect, but that was before I had to consider what other people do with Verve, hahaha. So, yeah, I can fix that for sure!
Hmmm, I thought about showing the vectors at some point, could be bizarre, because each single pixel is in the fluids, not just some coarse grid. Guess I should skip a few for such a display, haha, otherwise it could get "hairy", LOL... :P
I can try that at some point, sure. Not really a priority right now. I'm still wrestling windows things and only let my brush stuff distract me, hehe. :)

THANKS, though! Good calls!

Re: Bug Reports

Upon saving my project today, this is what I get when reopening it:

What's the artefact in the middle (the one with the triangles in "chain")? I can't get rid of it by zooming in/out.

Re: Bug Reports

Somebody else reported that, too, a while ago!? I'm not yet sure what causes that, could actually be an openGL issue of the sneaky kind. Naturally I don't have that, so I'll have to do some experimenting or "guessing" of sorts. Well, that's one of the challenges of working with "alpha" versions of anything... grrrr. I'm not entirely sure what to do about it just yet, honestly, but I'll do my best to try.
Has it happened with all your projects?
Can you try doing it a different resolution, just so I can see some more?
I'm so sorry about all that. I won't rest until we have that figured out!
