Re: Suggestions

That's the very nature of my grid already! I'm still working on a more sophisticated implementation, but I assume you can already recognize that that is what it does, right? ;)

Re: Suggestions

Hmm, apart from the depth info/bumpiness map.. is a specularity map export also already on the menu? :D
Tho, I suppose, that could be kinda been done manually with layers.

Re: Suggestions

Uh, being that each layer has only one solid specularity you could presently anyway only achieve that with alpha export per layer...so...later on this will get more entertaining. Got the prototype for that already working, but not in Verve, yet. ;)

Re: Suggestions

I have not browsed this whole thread, so apologies if this has already been suggested or planned for the future but..
I am hoping that maybe pulling in other files, like pngs and jpegs of paper sketches, would be a thing. In case that is possible and I'm missing something, then again, apologies.

Another, which I hope isn't a repeat is to maybe allow merging layers? Its common in all art programs and helps with limiting the amount of layers you use. I tend to do it a lot in other programs because I want to make sure I don't mess up and then end up merging layers when its good.

I hope I worded all my suggestion correctly and that they aren't repeated.

Re: Suggestions

For the second suggestion you could've at least tried to read the INFO Documentation! ;)
Merge Layers exists! It's a little unusual in Verve, but if you hover the "add..." buttons on the layer slides but hold down [Ctrl] it turns into "merge...". Hold down [Shift] and it turns into "copy...".

The first suggestion is a very natural one, of course, and I will eventually hook up image import, I promise. In the meantime I have a thievish happiness in knowing that all Verve creations are pure, haha...which is a bit naughty, I know, but that's the "Lemonade" part!

Thanks for making some, though, and welcome to the forum, Morey! :D

Re: Suggestions

I had the slightest feeling you were going to say that! Haha  The controls in verve are still kinda new to me, and feel different than most programs I use. I always have the manual up while I'm drawing though, so I guess I just missed it.

I am happy to hear importing will be added, I can imagine I'm not the only one wanting it either! I can see what you're saying though :D
