...I'm so happy now!

Thanks, man, I can thank you enough for this encouragement! I imagine, it's because we both come from 3d animation that you can appreciate what I'm doing with Verve. I really don't want some pretentious simulation, but offer a new paint medium at its very own nature. I know, I have to compromise a little as this evolves, but I'll do my best to maintain this kind of integrity. When you're on the computer, you shouldn't have to fight it, but work with its strengths.

Man, I would've loved to squeeze Verve down even more, because it actually could be a whole lot tighter. I'm developing this in BlitzMax, which has a good deal of redundancy in its compilation. But I like that it prepares me well to go cross platform as soon as I get the chance! And I don't have to deal with a whole bunch of stuff that is unnerving.
I very much admire the demo scene and share a good deal of that passion. My days of those predate the birth of many on this forum, hahahahaha, waaahh, and predate decent machines, of course, but- man- did we love it!
Hardware is so incredibly powerful for some time already, but nobody seems to have cared about really making use of it. I know, it's rough, because of compatibility matters and customer pools and all that, but this is how the system holds everyone back and it's part of my rebellion to just move forward and allow people to find something fun to play with, once they catch up with their computers, while in the meantime all of us, who have already such powerful machines get to enjoy a bit more of what they can offer!

Thanks again, Bunny! Oh, check out the
Vervatar challenge to make yourself one for here...it's fun exercise, too!
