...it only took a decade... and a year or two for me.

[Above are a few sample pages.]
The "Bailey the (Poopy) Bird" children's book is finally completed and will be tried by some publishing company. It's aimed at the 4 to 9 year old reader level. The Author came up with this silly story when his kids were little about a lonely little blue bird, and lonely because he isn't able to restrain his bowels, so to speak. Bailey makes some dear new friends when he saves them from being bludgeoned by some bullies by using his special talent for the power of good.
For the artwork, one of my daughters (now 15), handled the layout (story board) then sketched and inked up the characters. My work was done in Verve for creating the backgrounds and character fills. There were quite a few revisions due to story line changes and whatever and what I believed would be a weekend project has taken like two years. I had to consider the higher dpi and even multiple layering. The font is custom too.
I enjoyed whiling the hours away, Verving out and calling it work.
Maleah absolutely hated doing the work and loathes the prospect of a sequel,

which I think had the most affect on the extended creation time. Use her fairly decent art talent for money to pay for thing? NO... Her talents lie in music, writing and production, playing guitars, bass, drums, studying psychology (to basically analyze and unwrap other's minds), advocating for LGBTQ issues, arguing against police, capitalism, anyone more right-leaning and anything I have to say about anything!

- definitely not drawing and painting for others, especially for profit. What a spit-fire, [but I'm proud of her.]
There are some 27 or so pages and I'll provide a purchase link here when it's printed and stocked.
