Re: fxzt test sketch

Thank you, godot!
With a little bit of work you can absolutely accomplish the image sequence translation, but I recommend rather trying to replicate those imprints than importing them, because currently you cannot import material, only color.

AH, see, I totally did not understand what fxzt was asking. Yeah, I will try to get more complex events into the fluids, which should enable more natural effects eventually, too. I also have canvas tilting planned (and tested), but it only will get any good, once the fluids are a bit more sophisticated.

Thanks again for the translation! :ob

You are such a tease, fx! I can practically feel the drum roll growing louder and louder.
Love the color choices and the rich dynamics already! c:!

Re: fxzt test sketch

PSD and openEXR will be great additions, once I migrate with my code to C++. Currently that's too difficult for me to implement with BlitzMax. But I agree! :geek:

Re: fxzt test sketch

Nice! It's an interesting combination out of painterly and drawn qualities. c:!
I enjoy how you explore possibilities. There is a lot left for you to develop a feeling for, trust me!
Verve can behave in very different ways just by choosing different pen pressure associations (size and opacity, only size, only opacity), but the limits vanish completely once you begin gaining control over Fluid Smudge and material Build-Up parameter. Go beyond everything when you start to master fluidity, fluid curl and fluid sharpness as well as the canvas texture. Once you are fully aware of what you can achieve with all these parameters, Verve can become a direct channel for your ideas and observations. But it takes calmness, too. Similar to other blending based painting approaches as you'd find in Artrage, for example, the calmer you are, the faster you get the results you want.
That is a lot to translate and it is a lot to go wrong in translation, I'm afraid. But I still had to try to tell you all this. :ugeek:
