Re: EB Verve Painter

Never, Ed, never! Verve is part of my heart.
She looks almost like under water, which is quite fascinating. The eyes have that feel without a highlight. Great, great look!

Re: EB Verve Painter

I almost missed this one Ed but in spite of your own opinion, I like it. Like taron said it has an underwater look going on. I call it unique c:! c:! :D

Re: EB Verve Painter

I updated the theater girl portrait on page 13, I tried the last version (Verve_painter v0.99w.08) this time...
and I have to say, it has some advantages over "Verve_painter v0.99v.18a", in a way is more reliable and has a neater brush interaction with the canvas
but its Fluid Smudge dial has kinda less range, in "Verve_painter v0.99v.18a" is possible to create wilder brush strokes by reducing the Fluid Smudge below 50%,
but in the last version of Verve even turning the Fluid Smudge to 0% it's not quite the same, I noticed the difference between both version specially in the hair.
Hope this insight could help somehow.
Congrats again Taron, great app.

Re: EB Verve Painter

Thanks, Ed! Yeah, I had to tame Smudge a bit, because of all the rightful complaints about potential black glitches. But I also had added sensitivity to pressure, if it was turned on for opacity. My plan had been to eventually split pressure sensitivity into 3 categories: Size, Opacity and Blending/Smudging. This will come eventually, too. Then you should be back to doing the wilder stuff. BUT I have planned fora lot more things, including brush paint loading and release, meaning a more simulated behavior of brush and paint as well as various dynamic behaviors of bristles, which will likely take the sensation to the next level regarding natural feeling.
On top of all that, everything I'm exploring with Vervette will find some way into Verve, which will be incredibly exciting for me, for sure, and I'm hoping it will like that for everyone. :)

Thanks, again, Ed, you are doing beautiful stuff! Love the portrait for she radiates life through her sadness. Life is what a portrait should be able to convey and you're achieving it! c:!

Re: EB Verve Painter

This is my niece, the daughter of my brother who lives in Spain.
It took me a while, I was a bit dusted and I never painted 1 year old people.
Certainly this painting may have some issues, like the color of the mouth :? , though it will be better to come back at it after a while, I'll let it rest here.

Hope you are all well and with good health, best wishes digital pals.

PD: Taron I'll post some question here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=44&start=300

Re: EB Verve Painter

So, that would make her your niece, right? Daughter of your brother?! That's super sweet, Ed! Yeah, it gets a little dry or hard around the mouth, missing that adorable translucency of the skin. But her expression is fully there and I would not doubt the likeness. :ob
All in all, really, you have such a nice technique. I'm always impressed by your work! c:!
Not sure what you have posted Off Topic, but I'll see, if I find it?!
