Re: Abstract paintings

One thing I love about Verve is you can save a PNG file then open it again in the program. It becomes no longer just a static image but liquid paint :bounce: So you can paint on the image again and the image reacts to the brush! It's like resuming working on a oil painting that is still wet. I get some of my best ideas this way. I can just play with the image and if I screw it up no problem just open it again. I am not aware of any other 2d paint program that can do that! :ob

Re: Abstract paintings

Here is one done with Verve brushes it is 2 images one with metallic at about 4. I love how the paint can get iridescent in places. I always turn glow to 100 maybe that has something to do with it. This one reminds me of the sea and shells etc.

Re: Abstract paintings

Here is a interesting effect using painting mode. I made some dots with the 1 brush and then made the dots into a custom brush. I painted them on the canvas in the regular > mode. Then with the same brush I switched to the + mode which made the dots glow. Then I painted over them in the regular > mode.

It looks like the dots have a subtle inner glow effect.

(Regarding this one viewtopic.php?p=20844#p20844 )
Oh yes, this certainly adds a new layer of complexity to it. You're making some daring color choices on the edge of color theory, but still holding strong. c:!
...that reply was for an earlier image, actually. I didn't realize you've posted so many more already! GREAT! :hyper:
