Love the discussion on how you are using the brushes.. Would love to know how you manage such watercolor/ink looking artworks.. The Manga style girl looks really nice.. And like the humour in some of the earlier ones.. Would really like to play with the watercolor and ink technique.. if you can give me some pointers.. Thanks in Advance..

I went to the link Ovn and thats a fantastic interview. Ross is at the top as far as that realistic style goes. I have followed him and others for many years. When I ran into Project Superpowers I had to buy into it Three cheers for Loomis! (now about elvgren ) Sometimes I enjoy the story behind the story as much or more as I do the story itself

This guy holds his pencil with not a relax manner!

Omg that looks painful. My hand is hurting just looking at that pencil grip. Especially my forefinger! Possibly he uses that grip for extra control?

Speaking of surprises, I have encountered a few (bad) surprises with [alt]+[shift] that I use quite often to move the whole canvas.
Sometimes this operation closes Verve without warning... Am I the only one concerned?
Not sure if it is a feature of Verve, or something with my hardware (RAM 8 Go, GTX 970, Cintiq...).
Anyway this is nothing unbearable.

@AraA: not sure I can provide valid pointers. Ink is really about b9 usage.
And for watercolor... I did something after Miyazaki (http://www.fanboysanonymous.com/2015/01 ... color.html) and Elvgren (hoping this is not excessive)...

That is a hardware problem of yours, probably somehow failing to reach a memory chunk or something of that kind. That's the stuff that suddenly closes a software. In fact, there's nothing much I can think of, which could help that except maybe some more extensive error checking everywhere, which will certainly slow it down.
Maybe I can introduce a safe-mode or so?

But, tragedies aside, WOW, Ovn1, that is one fantastic page! I totally believe it! Fantastic work!

Thanks guys. I have poor internet connection now, due to beach vacation
And hardware memory crashes are clearly my fault as I tend to use many (too big) layers
Anyway I'm taking a break and I will return with oil examples
