Re: Verving the Pipeline: Multi Program Workflow

It looks to me like the king is giving lectures on how to work his cloaca... oh dear, that's pretty explicit, sorry. :hihi:

...a little reversed, here is the gargoyle I was talking about:

Re: Verving the Pipeline: Multi Program Workflow

Well I can't say that all my experiments work. But I know that some do anyway :D Some of them are finals but I am saving the best ones for publication, one illustration per story. I have struggled with trying to find a format for interior work mainly because of indecision in style and presentation. Sometimes the illustration is done before the story. It's no secret that a lot of my work is inspired by imagination from that illustration. It's a fun process :ob c:! So consistency is important in the look of the interior. I am going for a 1800's look. Not quite the same but an echo rather. The Clock Struck at One should be named the clock struck at three because the clock hanging above the title reads 2:30. This scene is centered by a kit bashed character I did in Daz. He is wearing a modified "Plague Doctor's" mask. The Elements including the title "The Clock Struck at Three" and the thought that there are only 30 minutes left Until 3 leads to the story hidden inside. :) I will be doing 51 of them total to catch up to the 27 vignettes that have been done :)

Re: Verving the Pipeline: Multi Program Workflow

Not really massive Knacki. I should have said I have done 27 out of 51 stories for the project. All of them vignettes. I have done the accompanying illustrations for only 4. Interior plates will be black and white only. None of the experiments I have posted here except this one made the grade.

Experiments are for the exploration of knowledge and limits of what one can do within the confines of the tools used and the imagination that gives them life. I enjoy them but I don't tie my final projects up with them. This black and white in particular was a stylistic experiment and a version of it will make it into the book. I have a few more things to try with it that I will be posting. Same image but different presentation. If this next one works then all the rest I use will receive the same treatment to maintain a consistent look and style. c:! :)
