Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Wicked textures...
...I can't wait to let you guys at this thing, because it's completely surreal what it feels like. Setting two simple animation goals for the size of the brush, opens up endless possibilities for expressions and it feels shockingly natural to work with this. c:!

Attached is a half sized version of this, because it's just too heavy for even a jpeg at full size, it's got too many details, but isn't really all that interesting enough to slam 2mb of jpeg onto the forum. :hihi:

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

cool, seems like a tree to me
I imagine how it would be when raining over it.
washing it out with a sort of fluid storm,
it would be awesome. XD

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Thanks, Ed, yeah... man, I also can't wait to hook the fluids up again. What I have now will be possibly something y'all wanted from Verve at some point, too, but I never hooked it up (though, I had it). And that is that layers will always have the bump from all layers below it as texture/height map. That means, fluids will be able to run between the strokes of previous layers. I did hook up something kind of like it in Verve, which is when you captured the current layer as canvas texture. But it's a whole different thing when it all comes together naturally like that. I may add the options for layers to be excluded from that accumulation of texture. Would be no problem at all.

But, yeah, fluids will really bring this thing home. But I'm too freaked out about the amazing possibilities with the brush system I'm building here. It's completely wicked. And I know I have literally just started and know what I still need to bring in. This will be quite something. 8-)

A few more simple stroke tests with animated size...

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

added texture among layers?
impressive, really wicked indeed
Please taron, what about the real color blending? Verve had it, will Vervetter have it too?
Congrats onces more.

Wow, the results look awesome! :ob

Brain storming..Maybe there can be "as a hidden feature" output into a sound wav file (animated brush with some tweaking to a texture sound). I am playing with Reason Grain sample manipulator and for that reason can be very cool. But of course, I don´t want to take you the wrong way..

I haven't thought about sound, yet, but I have thought about Midi Controller! :ugeek:
This I will most certainly have a look at, but I will try to open everything up as much as possible for people to get creative in many ways. I mean, I will add shader writing and then I might as well add input channels of all sorts, similar to ShaderToy.
BUT... first things first!

Pilou, yeah, I do remember you showing this back in the day. Very nice results! Very digital, but also quite exciting. :ob
There will be particles, too, in Vervette, like from the first version the stuff I posted on youtube. It's been sort of particle like, though different. It's all good fun for sure! :D
