Re: dines sketch book

Thank you Taron  ... right now Verve feels more natural for me. So looking forward if you thinking about updating the sandbox. But right now it's a lot of functionality already baked in which I can use to practise painting... like they used to say ... it's not the tool - it's the artist c:! 8-)

This is my take for today ... lost in space

Re: dines sketch book

Looks to me this one is about to find their place in space, hehe.
Yeah, The Sandbox really has been just that, you know, a sandbox. But you can get more control by just clicking on MATTER to turn its value to 0. This way you won't continue building up paint and making it quite pleasant to sketch.
Then there are a number of tricks on how to gain great control even in the old sandbox that is online. Certainly far more simple than in Verve, but also...not as sophisticated about the paint itself and only in 16 bit, rather than the 32bit of Verve's colors.

No worries, though. Enjoy Verve, since this ain't going away! c:!

Re: dines sketch book

Thank you for your reply... Was busy the last days ... but here are two quick ones ...

This one was done with Vervette ... just experimenting to get a better feel for it ...

And this one was done with Verve ...

When painting with Vervette I keep the Matter slider almost always in the middle.
I got the feeling that it was more like [-1 ---------------- 0 ------------ +1] because if I have the slide all to the left then it paints black which I interpreted as erasing the paint (just with black underneath...
Do I miss something here ...

Re: dines sketch book

Correct! It's a bipolar slider. To get it to +/- 0 you just have to click on the word "MATTER".
Love the electric dragon! :D :ob

Re: dines sketch book

Certainly surfing away! 8-)
Oh, Goro, yeah...he became such an icon to the Concept Design world. We met when he first came to the States. Nice to see something from him again! And it is NOT a giant robot! :hihi:

Re: dines sketch book

Yes, I like Goro's style and the Robots... I mean I don't know him but saw some of his work on the internet. I think right now he works on a VR 3D painter...

Today's piece... just turned out this way ... I was just painting my way along... c:!

Painted with Verve.
