One last time I promise! Grid, opacity issue

Hi again,

I know.. I'm that stupid! :) Anyways, I have had grid up and I was able to use opacity in edit mode, but after trying to figure out how to remove the mask, I somehow messed grid up.. now I can't even adjust its opacity and it's so strong that it's giving some weird artificial lines and such. Like this:

Kinda wanna get that fixed... I like my current piece and can't figure out how to get that reset (even tried to close the program and reload it, didn't work). Any ideas?

No, you can't make me any stupider, I'm already stupid. It's official! XD

Aww sorry dude, can't help you there ... that looks really odd

Too many divisions on the grid does make my system go on its knees, but i never got graphical issues like that :?

Re: One last time I promise! Grid, opacity issue

to edit the grid you hit [Ctrl]+[G], I'm sure you found out about that already. If you just scrub up and down you adjust the visibility of the grid. If you just use the mouse wheel, you adjust the mount of grid cells. But that's all in the docs along with all the rest of grid editing features.
To EXIT the grid editing you only have to hit [g]. Later you can toggle on/off also just with [g]. I tried to simplify the exit, as [ctrl] has just been a safety measure for the editing, but felt redundant for the exit out of edit mode.

I think, once I have a proper interface for all this stuff, it'll be more obvious in what kind of mode you're in, because you can be in any mode and have the grid up and even editing it independently from any other mode. That might be a bit confusing.
Here to help! :D

WHOW, i take it all back, i CAN get these dark spots if i go to extremes with the opacity, after all. :o
Rather trippy, actually  i like it 8-)

Well, he seems to be out of the grid-edit mode because he has the regular brush cursor.
Try this: [Ctrl]+[g] to enter grid-edit -> Click and drag upward.
If the grid turns black now, youre good to go. somwhere in the middle is the half transparent sweet spot ;)

I can't believe I let you guys put up with this mess, hahaha...  ...I mean, it's really not that messy, if you know what's going on, but there's little to really inform you without a proper interface. Sooooooooo.... I apologize for that and will work on that as soon as I can (caugh:want to:caugh) :D

Re: One last time I promise! Grid, opacity issue

Well actually, I was in edit mode. Apparently I wasn't in it when I screen captured it, but I swear I was in edit mode when I tried to change its color/opacity... :P I followed your manual which helps a lot because it's confusing without it. Anyways, no luck with it, it's like it's frozen in that setting. *shrug*

And Jim, haha yeah cool effect. :D I have the exactly same thing. XD

Re: One last time I promise! Grid, opacity issue

Btw just wanted to let you know, I double checked it by opening a new file and enabled the grid. Changing its color and opacity was just fine.. so for sure with that landscape file, it's definitely frozen.
