Z A F I O !!!!!!!!
Download the latest version now (v0.99n)! ;)
Got it all fixed up and made even a much fancier progress bar during saving! :D

I've tested it with your painting and it has no troubles what so ever. You can now make unlimited layers at practically any size, as far as I can tell. It'll take for ever, true, but it would still save until your HD partition is full, hahaha! :?
Here to help! :D

Fast? Oh, hmmm...yeah, I guess. It's weird, felt like for ever, but...hmm...maybe it was fast. Your mastery motivated me greatly! :)

Given your description of the matter and the little knowledge on programming I have, I expected something like weeks or months... :D

Another possiblity to delete layers: CTRL over the hide button turns the arrow redish, then click deletes.

Re: Lord Insectord gives suggestions

Another thing, too many times I want to quickly erase something, but I need too many strokes to delete through the buildup, so how about:
Buildup value to affect erasing:
A value of 0 would act as it does now, but 100 would erase through all buildup.
It should have its own value, so while pressing CTRL, user can change the value with B (CTRL+B) or the dial (which btw could change color, or have some kind of visual feedback)

Hmm, sounds good and I agree! I don't erase much, you know, hahaha... I often use a mild erase to create texture, actually. I really like your suggestion, goes into the mix! ;)

Re: Lord Insectord gives suggestions

Got another weird thing going on, wherever I paint now, I get like 1bit color outlines/strokes or something...
And color selection is kind of locked... just moving sliders work, and if once color is changed, I try to paint on the bird layer, everyhing is erased from that point...
I tried all the sliders just in case I had some extreme value somewhere but I can't find anything...

Re: Lord Insectord gives suggestions

How on earth do you manage to run into such bizarre little bugs?! Weird as heck!
But I have a solution for you right away:
Go to the problem layer (with fractal blobs), select any color (i took white, but who cares) but set the opacity to near 0...like 5% or so, on the color wheel, of course. Now hit [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[F]. It will fill the canvas, but you won't see anything, because it's such low opacity. Now the problem should be gone. Somehow you've managed to get a negative alpha value, I believe. I don't know where or how that happened, but I'll track it down! ...wow, it's so sensitive sometimes. Funny how people ideally won't ever know just how careful the coding has to be.
