Trouble running Vere

Hey,

I have a Lenovo thinkpad tablet 2. It's a 32 bit atom processor. It has no problem running Manga studio 5 on it. I've tired loading it off here and copying it from a pal. Every time I open it, it opens above the boarder (So not flush to the screen.) It doesn't show anything in the file and not working. Then the message "Exception_access_Violation." I've right click and run at administrator and no good. Any ideas?

Not sure what graphics solution is in such thinkpads, but I'd be surprised, if they'd handle openGL as well as fully decked desktops or even laptops. I don't know, but I'd imagine that there's the problem (graphics card).
However, you can always try to update your system and graphics drivers, if there are newer versions and see, if that helps?

Later, when I manage to get funding, I'd love to get all those gadgets to make Verve work on them. :D
Thanks for letting me know, for sure! Sorry it doesn't run right away...

It's powered by a PowerVR SGX545 graphics in the atom cpu. No way it's deck out like a laptop or desktop but hoping it would be enough to run such a small program. I was looking forward to using this. All of us using this agree this program is a game changer.

Any chance on a mac (I know hiss booo) in the near future?

I should make a disclaimer on the mac topic, haha.... once I manage to get funding, I'll see that I get myself a mac and start to make it work natively on it. Right now you can use bootcamp for a dual boot and run it just fine under windows on a mac. I've only heard good things about it thus far! ;)

Verve is a tiny app, but it asks for a lion gfx performance, since every pixel on the canvas is fluid. That's something that only in the last 3 years became really viable, I think, but apparently I'm the first to really try it?! Why, I can't tell... was quite easy to work out the first steps, but well... :geek:

Anyway: THANK YOU, I'm really thrilled to read that and I'm still eager to make it work on the smaller tablets. Even there it would have to wait for funding before I buy any gear to develop Verve for those. I'm not a big fan of gadgets in general, you know... I know, it's weird! :?
