Grid not showing up [[FIXED]]

I downloaded the program yesterday, and have not been able to get the grid to pop up.

I have tried hitting [g] for grid, then [Ctrl]+[g] to edit and then using [LMB] to control the opacity, but I still can't see it.

Is this a known bug?

I am on a PC (MSI)
OS: Windows 8.1
Processor: Intel Core i7-4700HQ
CPU: 2.40 GHz
RAM: 16 GB
System Type: 64 bit
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4600 /and/ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M

Make sure that you use the GeForce for Verve! Other than that, I don't remember anyone having these kinds of grid issues?!
Let me know, if anything changes... (as weird as that sounds, haha)

It's currently using the onboard (intel) one. I know because my little indicator light that turns orange when I'm using the GeForce, is staying blue. If I can change it to run on the GeForce, it'll solve another problem I have (Verve crashing my intel drivers).

How do I change what graphics card Verve runs on?

(Thank you!!!)

I'd imagine that's a global thing you have to switch for your OS! A search on google should help you! :ugeek: ;)
Also, make sure you install the latest drivers for your Intel card. I have the HD 4000 (unfortunately) in my Cintiq Companion (no comment) and it works, but it just ain't very fast.

You're very welcome, of course, and I hope we figure this out!

Gotcha. Ok. I'll see what I can find out. And yeah, I tried updating my Intel drivers but part of Intel's site was down... including the part that would let me upgrade. I tried to let to know... but the support section was down too! =/

on a recent doodle, I also got some rogue pixels. But I'll see what I can do on my end and see if it takes care of things. =D

Again, I'd really focus on getting the GeForce to take over! Intel thus far hasn't managed to impress me with their openGL solution.

AWESOME!!! I figured it out!! and now Verve's using the GeForce.

I went into my NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Program Settings tab > Add (under Select program to customize) > found Verve, added it, and under "2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program", I selected "High-performance NVIDIA processor".

And now the Grid works great! WOOHOO!

Hey kouza, I'm sorry you have to work with the Cintiq Companion, really, it's no good for that kind of futuristic software  !!! But, yeah, the HD4000 is probably the hardest card to stay compatible with, but most definitely the most ungrateful one, because it just isn't fast for GL stuff. I remember having done a few improvements for that card since the last release, but can't make any promises for everything in the next release.
Once I get around to it, I will post news on the matter, but right now.... :PP
Your English seems fine to me, though! :ob
I'm sorry about the troubles, of course. But nothing makes me as sorry as having bought the Cintiq Companion myself, haha... :|
