how can I set up canvas resolution?

{Shift] + [F2] allows you to alter the canvas resolution. I call it "cropping", but it really is setting the size of the canvas. You can always zoom out to make it pretty big, but be careful not to go beyond your graphics card memory!

This old version also still had some troubles with saving images greater than a certain resolution (4000+, I think). Even then you could still save png and jpg, but the native format would go beyond its bounds. The next version will have that fixed!
