Hmmm...I still love the elephant, but it looks all a little stuck together right now, rather than a painting. Sometimes working in layers can work against a painting, I think, or it takes a lot more effort to put it all together again? :?

What's interesting about this motive is that the composition here can totally change the interpretation of what we're looking at. If the little guy was somewhere on the diagonal golden ratio, he'd look almost playful. Right now he looks like abandoned and about to die. :|

Still fascinating, of course. c:!

It has a reference to a mythological story.. While paintings are appealing.. a story behind.. make them memorable.. The anectode is.. Shiva in his divine fury severed his son Ganesha’s head in a burst of anger.. Brahma the creator was set to find a replacement head.. This baby is going to give his head to one of the most popular of Hindu gods (obviously he has the inclining of what's coming ! :) an omen ! So he is brooding..) One who is worshiped ahead of any other deity.. the god who breaks shackles/troubles/obstructions.. and clears the road for one's creative freedom in life..

I aim to take care of the layer issues.. soon.. cheers :)

That has SOOOOO MUCH MORE Strength, AraA, I love the composition!
I may have a read of the story, too, actually. I'm quite curious about the Vedas, hoping to one day pick them up from the root. I imagine that this is a bit of a tangent from them, but I know nothing about it, yet. ...I love to find a path to understand what old scripture truly tries to convey. :)

After a string of half finished Artworks.. finally I finish one.. "untitled" as yet.. Digital painting.. with PS and Verve.. Finally, quite happy with the composition.. Though the critical me is still saying.. " look left.. you can do more.." :PP with my short attention span., not sure if I will revisit..

Taron.. this was an interesting exercise trying to get the best of Verve and PS.. I am still don't have a comment on that..

I love the subject matter here Ara. It makes me wonder again as I have from time to time, if Robert E. Howard used Ganesh as inspiration for his short story "The Tower of the Elephant" . Great as usual. I can see the 3d influence (although 2d) in the way you stage the scene. You have a very good compositional sense. c:!
Dont beat yourself on an image after a certain point. If it's not going the way you want, walk away from it. Play with something else and then once your mind is free of the frustration, Go back and look at it again. I have to do that when I am working on a short story, poetry or anything in general. My sense of it is there is no need to rework it as it was already complete.

Hey Taron .. Hey guys..

Around 5 years back.. my journey towards creating art began with Verve painter and encouragement from folks of this forum..

Lots have happened ever since.. more than anything else I have become a better painter.. What I share is not made with Verve.. They are acrylics on Canvas..
But made thanks to Verve..

I can't thank you all enough .. Esp Taron .. for helping me through a difficult period.. Now I enjoy the process of painting so much...

The only reason I don't do Verve anymore is because.. I've handed over my heavy duty comp to my wife.. She runs a serious business..
I do have plans to do some Verve artworks of a different Genre.. soon

Be well all of you .. and Cheers

I just made an Instagram account with many of my old Verve artworks.. Do check if you are interested.. pls find below.. the link
