A mosaïc effect ?

Here is something I was thinking of that I have not seen mentioned,... how about assigning color per bristle?

That way you could load up the brush with specific colors that varied throughout the stroke, for example, mix a bit of green with some yellow and blue, but not a complete mix,... then the color sample grabs not just one color, but the area of the brush size and assigns the individual bristles a color based on that. I think that would act a lot like using a real paint mix where you can have one side of the brush dipped in a different color.

Good idea! i saw Roland Palmaerts (belgium aquarellist) using this technique on a video.

Wow, the second suggestion today that is already taken care of for the next version, haha! ...and the second time I have to say: I should've made a little in between release!
The next version will have brush images, which you can make an animate sequence, by the way. However, I have them work for the bristle brush as well, which allows you to give each bristle any color you like, and even animate that. For the animation (that is already working perfectly) I will add several sequence "play" modes, one of which will allow you to animate the sequence based on the amount of color left on the brush. I think, that one will get highly exciting. I already have the sequence based on pressure, too, which is totally amazing. Borhani will have a wicked time, I'm really scared for him.
Oh, but the major thing will be the pallet, where you then should be able to dip your brush into the colors you've layed down.

But, honestly, I must tell you, I've been taking it a little slow for a while and it will probably go that way for another few weeks. My head's spinning a bit.
However, I can't wait to go at it at full speed again!
