Mouse Use

I noticed a thread from almost a year ago that discussed how no paint comes off the brush with a mouse after you click until you move the mouse. It seems that this is still the case in the latest version; has there been any progress on resolving that? Perhaps a button for poor mouse users to click that is less reliant on position data from the input device?

Another question I have is that I have noticed, again with using a mouse, the brush has a tendency to spin around in a circle. It seems the program quite easily picks up super tiny movements, e.g. when you stop the mouse, and this results in the brush spinning in a circle when you continue. Any input here besides to have hands steady as a surgeon?

The obvious solution to both is probably "buy a Wacom pen/tablet/etc.," I know, but I was wondering if these two things were getting worked on at the moment? The software is awesome - I have always wanted something that more closely simulates oil paintings in a digital space - but being nothing more than a casual hobbyist it is hard to justify purchasing a tablet or so on. Thanks for your time and the program is quite cool!

Re: Mouse Use

1) No solution for your mouse dot problem from me.

2)You can stop spinning the brush by pressing 'a'
You can adjust the brush angle by SHIFT+a+LMB drag ;)
Super useful but not mentioned in the manual I guess.

3) Buy it used. Wacom stuff is very reliable. I bought half of my Wacom stuff used. Including a Cintiq 21 UX. Depending were you live and if you are patient, you can get things pretty cheap.
Remember: Wacom Intuos 2 is not supported by newest driver and Wacom anymore, but that only means you have to install the fitting driver.
New consumer products like Intuos or Intuos Manga etc. has same precision specifications than old professional tablets.
Maybe that's an option? Should be possible for around 50$ Don't buy older than Intuos2, better Intuos3, which is still suported (not sure how long)

Re: Mouse Use

I figured the first one would need a software fix from Taron, but that second one is very handy! I certainly didn't see that hotkey anywhere and it fixes the lack of orientation input from a mouse screwing up the brush direction for sure. Also good advice on buying used hardware, thanks!
