Re: Extrapolations

Thanks Taron :)

She does bear a bit of resemblance to Frida. Reading the wiki article I got a look at her husband Diego Rivera. Now I am caught on the vagrant thought that a south of the border themed top row image at Zbrush used his likeness in the background as part of the crowd! :D hmmm a mexican tahitian fresco!

WIP

This next came from an image of an old fellow embracing a globe map as if he was saying the "world is mine." I liked the pose but hate the sentiment. I am getting tired of world beaters. Not sure what I am going to put in that space. A crystal ball? But what would be inside? I have it in Verve now trying different paint methods. I want a painted linework style.
Hands look off but aren't. The lumpy fingers look suspiciously like my own except he has a very long right little finger. My use of foreshortening is not very masterful and I am hoping I can convey his hands and face in a better manner as I paint.

Re: Extrapolations

Thanks Knacki :) Thanks Mike :)

I have gone back to Man in the Hat first to finish eye correction as they are still a bit off and then to create an urban scene. I am thinking that I should just leave him in that awkward spot on the sketch and work it to advantage with long straight lines going into perspective behind.. road or alleyway all of course on his left. or not lol. I think it will be easier to paint than the last one which Will get color but think Cinebook or Dargaud style. I also think it will be harder for me to do so I will use Man in the Hat to get me back into painting as I have not done any in quite some time. But first I have to find the time. I am hoping tomorrow.

Re: Extrapolations

I plan on it B :D I am having to do a complete rebuild on Man in the Hat.. Never Just doodle! Lay out Face lines! but Noooooo. lol I have a series of sketches planned out for painting later but remember sketches for painting are not always detailed. Just there to provide a guide. That's how I think of the Sally sketch. Anyway before I post anymore sketches I think I had best post a painting before Taron and Knacki start throwing rocks at me  B I think you may have been the only to have seen this before I deleted it the first time. I didn't like it but decided I would go back to it later when I was in the mood.
