Re: Suggestions

Hi TAron
Im finding the random colour key " N " really really really exciting and useful!
Its like a wet dream when used with full out fluids.:)
Is there any amount of MONEY........yes money!...... I could throw at you to persuade you to add some controls to the current version...it is rather unruley!
Would like to be able to limit colour range, tonal range, saturation range and speed of colour change.
A colour table option would also be super so it picks from a select set of colours ( which could be weighted for priority ) instead of the colour wheel.
Of course this would be lovely to use on brushes ( or bristles ) or both too.....on a per stroke basis or continuously variable.
Yes yes yes...I know...its all coming in the next version...yada yada yada
But I need it NOW!@#$%^&*(
How much?
HOW MUCH???
:)
Whatya say big guy?

Re: Suggestions

I say: I'd love to be done with the color pallet joy that I have in mind, which absolutely includes everything you've just said! :)
And if you then still feel like throwing money at me, I'd be cheerful about that, too! :D
The logistics are practically in place for me to catch it, too, except a proper paypal account to tie to them. This may come in the next month. I'll be sure to make a proper post about it, then, too.
For the color fun....hmmm... I can feel the pull again, which is wonderful. I just want to wrap up what I'm doing right now, which is also tremendous fun!
Thank you so much for offering that, Stavros! I really appreciate it, too!
Here to help! :D

Summary

Just put things together I had in mind and some of what was written in last year to have an overview.

INK:

-I am sure this is already said, but some gravity would be very cool.
Possibility to tilt the canvas and let the "ink" flow downward.
-dripping - I guess I already said that once ?
-splashing - should take the pens angle for direction the pressure for the force.
-Liquid mask to define were the ink will flow with soft edge solver. Actual mask has some kind of sticky effect
-Pure fluid

TECH:
-solid and save processing of higher resolutions. No more continuous crashes on higher resolutions.- if necessary with a safety benchmark first to define maximum dimensions, layers etc.
-PSD export
-HELP function - hoover with STRG pressed over an icon and explanation will be displayed
-Tooltip with shortcuts

LAYER
-3D processing of layers:
a) layer distance in Z. shadow between layers from light.
b) Rotate layer

VIDEO:
-video recording / very important! :D
-some animation possibilities/ camera, stroke (via path), color.
-record and playback of painting process

MASK & TRANSFORM:
-masking of picture not only liquid as a separate mask
-Standard tools for mask. lasso is most important. Feather, Grow, Contract
-Transform AND resize. Resize with Distort, Perspective, Skew

LIGHT:
-Visible light icon to identify position
-Different Light types - spot, point, ambient
-Picture as light for illumination
-special Ink as fog for lights - volume lights

PALETTE:
-A palette in which I can mix my colors - where I can choose if it's just one color, or the color mix which is taken - where I can define which material my color has, ,more metallic & glossy or not glossy - and individual bumpiness.
-Maybe Picking color from desktop

BRUSHES:
-Saving presets and quick recall by small thumbs
-by taron: "I already have custom brush images which you can animate, allowing you to create any kind of brush shape you like and even control how it changes as you paint. This will make possibilities pretty much, uhm... infinite. :ugeek:"
-by taron: "I think, I'm saying that a little too often, but that had been part of the plan right from the start. I wanted to make soft bristles that could stick together, bounce around and so on, allowing the artist to cut them to any desired length, which would naturally have a dramatic effect on how they act... all that...including also some fantasy movement stuff, which is why I reacted a little funny when I saw "flame painter", which is doing something I knew I'd do eventually, too.
With the image brush I've already got some taste of what powerful things are waiting for us, as I hooked up rotation and chaos as well as random size during a stroke. You can get some outstanding designs with that in just one single stroke. Together with my mouse delay, this is pure joy, honestly! :bounce: 8-)
It's coming..."
-by taron: (Too long for this overview) "http://www.taron.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8137#p8137"
-by borhani: http://www.taron.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8094#p8094

STROKES:
-ALT+SHIFT+LMB would be cool to have straight lines instead of pan. Drop, or animate a stroke along the line (with a bit adjustable random? :D ) on release LMB.
-by borhani: http://www.taron.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8032#p8032

NAVIGATION:
-Higher value for zooming out

.....to be continued ;)

Re: Suggestions

One thing I would like to add to Kancki's list

AUTOPAINT
a special button I can press that randomizes everything and automatically produces beautiful, unique hi res fluid paintings
which then autosave themselves and upload to my online store.....
which I can then sell on the internet while Im sitting on a beach in Mexico drinking Pina Colada's
and make lots of money, which I will then of course share with you Taron

Re: Suggestions

AH, look at that, a plan I can live with!
I was gonna say, I'm just gonna write an AutoCoder, too, and we can go sip some more in the ocean breeze. 8-)

However, I have already written the paint recorder with paintable playback, yes, haha, the English language doesn't even have that word, yet: paintable!
Anyway, it's really funny and fun! :D
...that's a little evil of me to mention that, is it?! :|

Re: Suggestions

Hey dear taron, thank you so much for your latest VERVE Updates  ... but how people can rotate precise (not other paint-direction, but turning by locking with [a]) and quick the brushes without an intuos pro? So I have an suggestion - what about alternative brush-rotation not only in the brush panel - also over the canvas? My suggestion with [Shift] - [A] too.
