Re: Pulse's explorations

That becomes one psychedelic lizard! :D ....kind of feels like an award-winning paint job on a Van in the 70's, hehehe, which is awesome! 8-)
I really dig how colorful it is, too, by the way. :)
Here to help! :D

That's pretty well described and I love this stuff too.
Read all about airbrushing when I was a kid.

Thrilling result!

Re: Pulse's explorations

It's a wrap everyone, finally. A magical sunbeam hits an ancient relic only to be witnessed by a Big Blue Iguana during his jungle breakfast. :D  :D

Re: Pulse's explorations

Hehehe, how about a big version then!? :D
That looks EPIC somehow! Really a marvelous job, Dave, I totally dig it!
The magical cup feels a tiny bit...hmm....let's say it doesn't quite hold up to the quality of the Iguana and feels a little like a sketch on top of a painting. BUT - and that has to be a BIG BUT- it adds a GREAT deal of story to it all and you give the whole thing such richness...makes me feel like I can hear the sounds of the environment and as if it was like the divine board of "2001 A Space Odyssey", waking up the mind of the blue dude!
So, yeah, the foreground could become a bit more deserving of the rest of the picture, but it's altogether as I've said already: Marvelous! 8-)

Re: Pulse's explorations

Taron,
I agree, as do other artist friends that I took a lazy way out. I will come up with a version two ending, like a directors cut movie... he he he... I guess I got lazy or dulled out. Anyway I will ponder this this week and come up with an alternative ending, stay tuned! Okay 6/10/2014 - Based on the wise guidance of Taron - keeping me from being a lazy slacker, and encouraging me to rework my art for the good, here is the start of the new "ending" , maybe two more edits to get there. I reworked back of eye, under chin of Iguana, decided to make up a new relic and more. I will work it up in it's new arrangement. Thanks Taron for the technical advice too on a layer move!

Re: Pulse's explorations

Time for a break, two more stages most likely, leaf and relic work then sunbeam placement. Good test to rework into different design. Thanks.
