Re: Everyone, what Graphics Card are you using?

NVidia...oh...I should send some hugs to them for sure, hahaha, maybe they'll send me a newer card in return, hahaha! But, really, they've allowed me to explore openGL without breaking my head right from the start. Sure, their brilliance caused me loads of troubles with all the other cards, but if I had these troubles before I knew better, I don't think I could've pulled it off.

Thanks for the perfect report, TC!

Re: Everyone, what Graphics Card are you using?

Hi Taron,

I just found Verve a few days ago and absolutely LOVE it!!!!!! But unfortunately my graphics card doesn't. I had thought I had a pretty good setup until I checked my specs, (never worried about it, cause it worked well with all other programs). I have HP Envy Touchsmart all in one desktop PC, Windows 8, Intel CORE i3 with Integrated Intel HD 2000 graphics. Verve works in low resolution but lags badly. in high res it locks up everything. My son in law will be installing a new graphics card for me in Jan, since I found out my motherboard has an expansion slot for it. Until then I will just play with it as I can, I will also look into putting bootcamp onto my Macbook Pro, retina, but will use windows 7 cause windows 8 sucks. Will keep you updated. Again, I LOVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEE your work!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nvidia GTX 780.
Only encountered one bug so far, and it happened after trying to spin the canvas as fast as possible while using very fluid fluids. A little tiny black pixel appeared, might have been a black hole. Couldn't remove it, and erasing it (or any action that touched it) would change my color to black and start painting ^^ But no actual problems encountered nope.

Re: Everyone, what Graphics Card are you using?

Has nothing to do with your card...or brand of card... it's a weird openGL problem with lines that are less than one pixel of length with values that vary between uv coordinates. It just freaks out...gives you negative values that go into the material build up and ruin the rest of the paint logic! :(
I've already worked parts of it out, but there are rare instances where this can occur again. Getting there! :geek:

Re: Everyone, what Graphics Card are you using?

I will get on tuesday my GTX 970 :) ... hoping so much, that this GPU will be runing fine, because I did read not only good thing, there are also many problems of this GPU - mostly driverproblems or problems with the mainboard, also with my mainboard brand 'Gigabyte' with the new 970's/090's

But I will see and hope .. if not, I will take an 780s one ...

Re: Everyone, what Graphics Card are you using?

GTX 970 works so great :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: ... did made a test with 4095x4095px with 2 layers, without any problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Yeaaaaahhhh ... even on my old pcie 2.0 Gigabyte-Board :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Thats like X-mas 1.5 - and X-mas 2.0 are if we have the new VERVE Version :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Ok, but I think even smaller resolution is great also for printings and so on  ... but with my GTX 550Ti I could made only 2048x2048 (with some delays) ... and thats a bige difference

now I'm happy also for other applications ... only silo 2.3 did have black windows in linux like before, I don't know why

HEy Zero
Thats GREAT!!!! news
Thanks for the feedback.
I too am stuck at around 2000 pix ( or 2500x1500) on my nvidia 650m and itching for more res!
How much ram do you have on your gtx 970?

Can you try a 5000 x 3000 and 6000x2000 pix image please and let us know how it goes?
Even at 4000 pix a simple upres of 200% gives good res for large format.

YEAAAAAAAH!@#$%^&
Macbook Pro
2.6 intel core i7
8 gb ram
Nvidia 650m 1gb v ram
bootcamp windows 7 premium
